Keeping it relevant!
Over the past 20 years there has been an explosion in voice research and pedagogy and things have come a long way since teachers simply told students to “sing from the diaphragm!”. I like to keep abreast of new developments and approaches to voice coaching and see this as an essential part of offering cutting edge vocal training.
Here are some of the courses I’ve participated in recently:
Vocal Process Best Practice Update – Birmingham, July 2018 An interactive day of techniques with Dr Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher looking at best practice in vocal teaching and practical application of voice science: topics include breath use, modal & falsetto voice with mixes, note approaches and vowel tuning. |
Jeanie Lovetri & Somatic Voicework – Arts Ed, London September 2017 Voiceworkshop.co.uk in association with Arts Ed London hosted Jeanie Lovetri for a two day introductory workshop in Somatic Voicework™ in London on Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, September 10. This weekend was London's first exposure to Somatic Voicework™. The method has now been taught in several universities in the USA and Canada, in Australia and in Brazil and is expanding rapidly. |
