Continuing Professional Development
Keeping it relevant!
Over the past 20 years there has been an explosion in voice research and pedagogy and things have come a long way since teachers simply told students to “sing from the diaphragm!”. I like to keep abreast of new developments and approaches to voice coaching and see this as an essential part of offering cutting edge vocal training.
Here are some of the courses I’ve participated in recently:
June 2020 - Somatic Voicework™ Belting Webinar Course with Jeanie Lovetri The LoVetri Method is a way of working on all aspects of the voice so that the singer (or speaker) may increase awareness of sound-making as a physical process. This course focussed on belting techniques, exercises and repertoire. |
February 2020 - Helping voice users unlock tension and free their voice Royal Northern College of Music - British Voice Association A day about managing muscular and psychological tension in professional voice users.
